Description

  • heights 8 1/4 in. and 8 in.
  • 21 cm; 20.3 cm
each modeled as either a bagpiper or a tambourine player seated beside his companion before a leafy bocage on a high rocky mound and square base in scribed Rural Pastime. Haircrack, minor chips and restored chip.

Condition

Bagpiper group: Some minor chips to the bocage - some of which are factory-related and glazed over; minor restored 1/4-in. chip to the lower left front corner of the base; some minor flaking to the black enamel. Tambourine group: Minor chips to the edges of the bocage, most of which appear to be glazed over; there is a fine haircrack running from a firing fault at the base of the tree trunk between the seated figures horizontlly around the back to the front endin at a point behind the male figure's legs, and a second minor fine haircrack running approximately 1-in. or so from the same start point vertically down the back of the base.
