Condition
Slight tarnishing to gilt-bronze. Some movement between bronze and marble joints. Left thumb missing and restoration to thumb on right hand. Pedestal with scratches and chips to carved decor.

Gori altered his name from Fortunato Gori when he moved from Florence to Paris at the turn of the last century. He is recorded exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1902, 1904, 1912, 1914, and 1923.
