Condition

Overall in very good condition. Traces of repair to fingers on left hand. One break to tip of reed plant behind her. Minor scratches and wear throughout. Pedestal in good condition, will need to be stabilized. Minor scratches and nicks throughout pedestal.

Catalogue Note

Although the artist A. Sari does not appear to be published, it is interesting to compare the similarities between the present figure and another Orientalist dancer illustrated in Panzetta by Bruno Fanfani. Note the striking resemblance in stance and placement of her arms and feet, as well as the group of reeds around her.
