Condition

Overall in good original condition with the usual wear to the patina in places especially to the top of head, arms and legs consistent with handling and touching. Light scratches and dents consistent with age. Decor lacking to front of gilt-bronze base resulting in 3 holes visible in the catalogue illustration. Slight tarnishing to gilt bronze and some traces of dirt throughout.

Catalogue Note

Although apparently without a foundry mark, the present model was most probably cast by the bronzier Jules Graux-Marly. Compare the present lot with a similar example in bronze with a green patina in the collection Ginépro.
