Condition

Gilding and silvering still in original condition. Wood with chips and losses throughout now showing gesso and wood in places. Accidents to petals in places. There is a loss to the carved border on the lower third of the right side of the mirror of approximately 7 1/2 inches long, which is visible in the catalogue illustration. Also visible in the illustration is a large loss to the giltwood decor on the scroll to the right side of the crest. Dirt and dust throughout. Loss to decor on the left side of the crest which has been now overpainted.
