- height 37 1/4 in.
- 94.6 cm
decorated on one side with an elaborate allegorical scene and on the other with a presentation inscription, all on a waisted foot decorated with prunts and Renaissance-style scrolls, engraved signature, possibly A. Leidl, and Vinzenz Pohl, Glasmanufactur, Deuwelt, Boheme mark. Repaired through the stem.
Condition
The knop has been restored in two places; the vase has been restored and resin-repaired across the upper part of the stem. Otherwise in generally good condition.

This vase and cover was made to be presented to the French Minister of Commerce, Pierre Legrand, on the occasion of the Exposition du Travail (Great Industrial Exhibition), and was almost certainly on display there from July 23-November 23, 1885.
