Description

  • height 34 in.; width 6 ft. 7 in.; depth 21 1/2 in.
  • 86 cm; 200.5 cm; 54.5 cm
surmounted by a serpentine and molded brèche violette marble top, raised on c-scrolled supports headed by female busts, the stretcher centered by two seated putti joined by a floral swag. 

Condition

The original marble top with the usual minor scratches to surface and with minor chips to edges. The console with dents and chips consistent with age and use. Construction cracks to each support at the frieze and there is a triangular shaped loss of 1 in. x 1 in. to the left hand side of the left front bust. The gilding original and now showing gesso and brown undercoat in places.
