Description

reserved with an oval panel of 'May Day' painted with three beauties wearing pastel gowns and carrying sprays of flowers on a deep-blue ground painted with roses and decorated with gilt foliate scroll- and trelliswork, raised on a waisted socle and circular base, pseudo shield mark in underglaze-blue. Some restoration.

Condition

The knop of the cover is reglued and there are five 1/8-1/4in. chips to the underside of the knop's acanthus leaves. Otherwise, in good condition.
