including a cased pipe of silver in Ottoman style, finely carved with foliate scrolls and flowers, apparently unmarked; a burlwood novelty pipe that allowed placing tobacco into three different holes; three pipes of meerschaum, each mounted in silver, one with remains of mother-of-pearl veneer; another pipe carved in the form of a Cossack, inlaid in silver; and five porcelain pipes, the bowls painted with portraits, soldiers, horses, dogs and hunters
