Description

  • 72.5 cm. high, 80.5 cm. diameter
commemorating Louis XVI, his consort and sixteen other ladies of the court, painted on porcelain plaques, partly gilt, the surround turquoise-coloured , the top supported on a shaft veneered in mahogany and applied with three ormolu scroll-legs

Condition

Gilt bronze mounts soiled, mounts of the base with minor traces of "vert-de-dris" porcelain plaques with minor rubbing and scratches, the base with restorations and losses to the veneers.
