Description

  • 103.5 by 103 by 73 cm.
the top fitted with sliding cover and drop front, the interior fitted with six small drawers flanking an open compartment, one drawer now applied on the underside with an Imperial seal of red wax, the drawer fronts veneered in elmwood and the writing surface now lacquered in black, a single drawer below, supported on four columns joined by an undertier; combined with a mahogany armchair of similar style and period, the rails trimmed in brass, upholstered and covered in silk moiré

Condition

The chair: overall im reasonably good condition, old restorations to the construction and the brass banding, the feet with restoarions to the veneer The desk: In restored condition, veneer blistering on one rounded corner
