Condition
The actual painting is warmer in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
The painting has a relining. The paint surface has flattened somewhat, but is overall in good condition, no damages are visible.
The paint layer has a fine craquelure pattern and has a dirty and discoloured varnish.
Inspection under UV-light reveals small retouchings throughout; the face and dress of the lady are well preserved.
Offered in a decorative wood frame, in fair condition. (JD)
