Description
- 25.5 cm.
the first painted with a view of a castle in Erdmannsdorff, another with a equestrian monument to Friedrich II, a third with a paradise garden, the fourth with the Brandenburg gate and the last with the monument to Friedrich Wilhellm III, all with gilt border, the rim outlined with strapwork in dark blue, centred above by the mirrored initials W beneath a crown, all inscribed on the reverse, signed in underglaze blue and in manganese over the glaze and with label Gemäldegalerie with inventory number
Condition
In overall good condition with some minor rubbing to the painting and gilding, some minor surface scratching. Each plate with small loss to the painting. One plate (with view of Brandenburger Tor) with larger shallow rim chip (circa 5 by 1cm.).
