Archduchess Marie Therese of Austria-Este, Princess of Modena, born in Brünn July 7 1849, here shown one year old. Her parents were Archduke Ferdinand of Austria-Este and Archduchess Elisabeth. In 1868 she married the Bavarian Prince Ludwig (1845-1912) who in 1912 succeeded to the thrown as Ludwig III
