Description
- the first: 33 cm. high
of slightly tapering form, the front engraved with an armorial shield within a wreath of laurel and the inscription SAL BRVNNEN ZV FRANCKENHAVSEN. 1667, the cover with clear touch marks; together with two oval trays, each engraved with the initials JFB beneath coronet dated 1756; also combined with a soup terrine, a facetted wine flagon, two oil lamps, six pewter bowls and a circular dish; further combined with a small copper stove, two brass candlesticks, a spout and a pewter coffeepot, repaired and cover replaced
Condition
All pewter items with some smaller and a few larger dents, marks and scratches, copper items soiled and oxidised. Tureen: cover with repairs and small losses, especially to rim and finial, minor repair to tureen. Both oil lamps with warping to the feet. The stove: crane loose but available. Coffee pot: warped, larger repair to bottom, loose cover not matching, wear to wooden handle.
