Description
comprising: 46 dinner plates, 18 soup plates, two slightly different soup plates, two plates, the rim pierced, ten large deep plates, seven shallow bowls, two larger plates, four average sized and one large soup terrines with covers, two circular serving plates, five large circular serving dishes, nine oval shallow bowls and two oval serving dishes, and a sauce boat; all painted in bright colours with sprigs of spring flowers, the initial FG and armorial emblems adopted from the Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt armorial device, many signed in underglaze blue R
Condition
In overall reasonably good condition with some glaze wear, wear and scratching to the enamels. Some items with smaller rim chips and hairline cracks. Slight warping to some of the plates. two reticulated plates each with hairline crack (6 and 10cm. long). One soup plate with half-moon shaped two-part chip and related hairline crack, restored. Some damages stabilized with tape. One sauce boat restored. Another round dish restored. The tureens with chips to the rims, one tureen restored, one with handle(s) partly missing. The largesr tureen with one handle missing and large chip (circa 20cm. long) to the foot.
