Description
painted with sprigs of flowers, the rims pierced with basketwork, moulded with three cartouches enclosing sprigs of flowers, heightened in gold and signed in underglaze blue; together with two porcelain serving dishes, one painted with a large fortified castle on a hill; also combined with a set of 28 Volkstedt-Rudolstadt porcelain cups, a creamer and a teapot, each painted with a stag or doe, signed in underglaze blue R; further combined with ten cut-glass bowls and six moulded dessert plates of green glass
Condition
One cup broken and repaired, another with larger hairline crack; the cover of the teapot with finial replaced, handle to creamer broken and restored; green dishes and glass bowls with chips and breaks, parts missing; one serving dish warped; overall with wear and rubbing to decoration.
