Description
- the first 152 by 105 by 56 cm., the second 90 by 95 by 52.5 cm.
the upper section fitted with three small and three large drawers, the fronts veneered with Oriental lacquer panels worked in slight relief with game park scenes and human figures, the bottom section en suite and fitted with two single drawers, brass plates lightly engraved; together with a small chest of drawers of similar period, the drawer fronts painted with Oriental scenes, escutcheon plates of later date
Condition
The tallboy with dark patina, lower drawer front with loss of paint and splits, one drawer with loss to moulding, overall old repairs to the decoratin, the sides also affected by loss of paint and splits; the chest with split across top, dark patina and wear commensurate with age and use, traces of old woodworm, a restoraion to the moulding of left lower side.
