- 166 by 325 cm.
apparently sold at Covens & Mortier in Amsterdam, based on maps by Eugene Henri Friex, illustrating the South Eastern point of England, Northern France, Holland and ending to the East at Venlo, Maastricht and Luxembourg, printed on cream-coloured silk, coloured, composed of numerous sections sewn together, the border applied with green ribbons for suspension, with backing cloth of the period applied with paper label
Condition
In overall good condition, probably never exposed to daylight. Backed in fabric. Few minor tears and stains, slightly yellowed. The silk slightly dry.
