Condition
Wear to the surface due to outside exposure creating an important abrasion. One part of the drapery broken off and restored. Chips and minor losses at several places.

Catalogue Note
Ce buste en terre cuite rappelle, en effet, les oeuvres tardives de Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, réalisées juste avant sa mort, vers 1872. On peut constater une certaine ressemblance, notamment avec le portrait de Mademoiselle Demarçay, réalisé par Carpeaux en 1872, dont une version est conservée au musée Chéret à Nice.
