Under ultraviolet light: There are several sporadic retouches in the background, in the leaves, around and in the sails on the right, in the architecture and in the sky on the left. Some dots of repaint in the faces of Aeneas and Anchises. There are some very slight retouches in Anchises' body and legs, and in Aeneas' right arm. Some larger retouches in the drapery under the sword-handle. A vertical restoration (25 cm) is visible on the right under the hand of the child. Some small scattered retouches in the ground.
