Lithograph, 1946, signed in pencil and numbered 2/50, on Arches wove paper, the full sheet, in good condition apart from a small crease in the face just left of the nose, minor water-staining in the lower right corner
Condition
The print is In good condition overall. The crease in the face is soft, horizontal, measures 1 1/2" and is visible under raking light. There is a narrow band of mat stain along the sheet edges. Further discoloration comprises damp stain (about 1 inch across, 1/4 inch deep) beneath the signature at lower right and along the right edge. This water stain is more apparent on the verso and measures 3 by 2" at the corner and 2 1/2" by 1 to 1 1/2" at the side (very pale here on the recto).There are remains of paper tape on verso along edges.
