Eleven prints by various artists, each signed (the Warhol on the verso) and variously inscribed 'A.P. IX', 'A.P. IX/XIII' or 'A.P. 9/13', artist's proofs, aside from the numbered edition of 100, published by The Committee to Endow a Chair in Honor of Meyer Schapiro at Columbia University, 1973, lacking the Saul Steinberg, the full sheets, in good condition apart from occasional mat stain, the Johns tipped to the back mat at the upper sheet corners, framed *(6 prints not examined out of frames) (11 prints)
Condition
The portfolio is in good condition overall. Five of the prints were examined out of the frames and the condition details are as follows:
STELLA: there is pale mat stain
JOHNS: the sheet is tipped to a back mat at the upper corners and there are a few soft handling creases
WARHOL: there is pale mat stain
KELLY: traces of pale mat stain
LICHTENSTEIN: the sheet is slightly discolored where exposed to light and there are 2 soft vertical creases at the lower right corner of the image
Condition issues noticeable without opening the frames are as follows:
OLDENBURG: there are two sharp creases at the upper right sheet edge, each measuring c. 2 inches
MOTHERWELL: handling creases are visible in the margins
