The complete portfolio, 1950, comprising 32 intaglios, with accompanying poems by Aimé Cesaire, signed in pencil by the artist and the author on the page de numérotation, numbered 152, from the edition of 219, on Montval wove paper, with the Corps Perdu watermark, published by Éditions Fragrance, Paris, the full sheets, in good condition, contained in the original orange paper-covered boards and slipcase with vellum-covered spine, slightly soiled, with occasional nicks and scuffs
Condition
The portfolio is in good condition as catalogued. There is faint time stain at the sheet edges, with occasional minor creases at the extreme sheet corners. The portfolio case is lightly soiled throughout with occasional nicks resulting in small paper losses both on the case cover and at the corners.
