Condition

This early print, on paper with a surface sheen and mounted to a heavy buff-colored board, is in generally very good to excellent condition. There is negligible, tiny emulsion loss on the tip of the lower left corner that is visible only upon close examination. In raking light, the following are visible: silvering at the periphery; a ½-inch crease, not breaking the emulsion, at the upper right corner; small deposits of original retouching; a ½-inch transparent droplet deposit at the upper center of the print; and faint scratches and tiny indentations that do not break the emulsion. The mount is age-darkened. On the reverse, the edges are worn and corners are bumped. The lower right corner is creased, and there are cello tape remains.
