14 (of 15) photographs from Fifteen Photographs (New York: Double Elephant Press, 1974, an edition of 75 and 15 artist's proofs), each mounted, signed, and numbered '25/75' by the photographer in pencil on the mount, 1929-72, printed in 1974; together with printed title, plate list, colophon, and introduction by André Breton in French and English. Folio, black leatherette clamshell box embossed in silver, embossed foil liner, no. 25 of a total edition of 90 (14)
Condition
These prints are in generally excellent condition. Exceptions follow:
'Parabola Optica' - in raking light, 2- and 3-inch soft vertical creases that likely occurred during mounting are visible at the right side of the print.
'La Buena Fama Durmiendo' - in raking light, a small mounting bubble is visible in the area of the sitter's extended foot.
'El Eclipse' - in raking light, two soft mounting creases are visible. These are not noticeable under normal viewing conditions.
The clamshell box is in generally very good condition. It is lightly rubbed at the extremities, and there are small indentations randomly scattered on its surface.
