Condition

All photographs are in generally excellent condition. 'Horsetails and Log, 1957' - mounted, signed and dated by the photographer in pencil on the mount. In raking light the following are visible: silvering at the periphery; very minor handling marks and nicks, and a pencil point indentation. None of these breaks the emulsion. 'Sunset, Big Sur Country, 1957' - mounted, signed by the photographer in pencil on the mount, titled, dated, and numbered '1258' by the photographer's widow, Edna Bullock, in ink on the reverse. In raking light the following are visible: very minor scratches and what appears to be a droplet stain in the rocks. There are 2 minor nicks at the top right edge and a 1/8-inch portion of the emulsion on the right edge which is folded over. There is slight silvering in the dark areas in the lower right corner. 'Gravestone, 1967' - mounted, the photographer's studio stamp, titled, dated, numbered '3035,' and priced '$50.00' likely by the photographer in ink, on the reverse. In raking light the following are visible: a few small indentations; two pencil-eraser-sized smudges; and several faint scratches. None of these affects the image. 'Death Valley, 1940' - mounted, signed by the photographer in pencil on the mount, titled, dated, and numbered '1841A' by the photographer's widow, Edna Bullock, in pencil on the reverse. In raking light the following are visible: a 1/4-inch soft crescent-shaped crease and slight silvering. 'Nude in a Dead Forest, 1954' - mounted, signed by the photographer in pencil on the mount, titled, dated and numbered 'B480' likely by the photographer in pencil, on the reverse. In raking light, there is a pinpoint indentation visible in the upper right quadrant which does not break the emulsion. 'Lynne, Point Lobos, 1956' - mounted, signed by the photographer in pencil on the mount. In raking light the following are visible: a tiny nick and slight silvering in the dark areas.
