This early photograph, on medium-weight paper with a glossy surface, is in generally good to very good condition. The approximately 1 3/8-inch margin has strips of stray exposure in the upper, right, and lower areas. The corners are bumped, and the edges are slightly rubbed. When examined in raking light, a sharp, wavy 1¼-inch sharp handling crease that does not break the emulsion is visible at the center left area of the print. Also visible are a number of small soft handling creases in the margins and at the left side of the print. On the reverse, there are several small rust-colored deposits of indeterminate nature.
