Condition

This early photograph, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally excellent condition. The somewhat bumped corners have tiny creasing and emulsion loss. There is very slight age-darkening at the periphery on the reverse. The notations on the reverse of this photograph refer to the Egan Gallery, New York, where exhibitions of Siskind's photographs were held in the late 1940s and early 1950s (see Lots 197 and 199).
