Condition

This platinum print, with a wide range of soft grey tones, is in generally very good condition. The surface of the print is lightly rubbed, and there is very minor edge fading along the left edge of the print. The top center edge of the print, just above the sitter's head, appears to have altered slightly from moisture or adhesive. On the back of the print, directly behind the slightly warped area, is a paper remnant from a previous mount. Also at the top edge, on the front, there is a thin piece (1/4-inch long) of archival tissue adhered to the image. Original deposits of graphite retouching are visible in the sitter's dress. There are a few minor chips along the edges. On the reverse, there are two pieces of archival tissue adhered to the top edge, as well as the paper remains from a previous mount. The photograph is numbered '002374' in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse.
