Not examined out of frame. A large print showing certain effects of insufficient support in a light frame. The surface has undulations overall, not yet very severe, but requiring attention. In one or two places in the ample white border outside the image area are small ( c. 1mm) dark impurities visible to the naked eye, concentrated largely in the upper border. The nature of these is not clear, and it is possible that they may be removed by professional attention at the time of reframing. The image surface itself is in good condition, showing neither abrasions, discolorations, nor permanent stress marks. In our opinion this print should be reframed by a specialist framer without excessive delay to preserve its condition. That condition is good at present, however: reframing will safeguard it for the future. Image dimensions 93x77 cm within a white border larger at the top but equal width either side.
