Catalogue Note

A good group of Bourne views of India, the majority studies of monuments Mughal, Hindu, and British, including unusual interior views. One splendid mountain view of the Himalayas from Darjeeling, and also included (and presented in the same way) an interesting photographic reproduction of a sketch map of Major General Wheeler's Entrenchments at Cawnpore in 1857, credited in the original map to 'Fry and Rahm, Artists and Photographers, Lucknow and Naini Tahl'.
