Description

  • Norman Parkinson
  • Carmen, American Vogue, 1948
Silver print, signed in pencil in the margin. Printed later, from an edition of 25. Framed.

Condition

The print is flush-mounted on card. It is signed in ink on the reverse (not in pencil in the margin as stated in the catalogue). There are traces of silvering in the dense border at image edges. Three areas of light parallel scuffs (two above the upper hand of the principal sitter and one tight to the upper left image corner) mar the appearance of this print. Surface is otherwise good and print overall has great decorative charm.
