Acquis par la tante du propriétaire actuel à Casablanca dans les années 1950-1960, probablement auprès de l'artiste lui-même, qu'elle connaissait et dont elle possédait plusieurs oeuvres.
Condition
Original canvas. Good overall condition. Some repaints scattered obver the surface mainly in the costume in the center and in the veil of the woman in the right hand side.

Catalogue Note
Après avoir fait ses études à l'école des Beaux-Arts de Madrid, Herrera s'établit à Casablanca en 1913. Il devient l'un des artistes les plus en vue au Maroc, et participe aux Salon de l'Afrique Française. Herrera peint des scènes de la vie quotidienne des femmes marocaines.
