Relined. Few repaints (probably due to the restoration of old tears) in the lower left part visible on the water and on the legs of the two horses on the left.
Few repaints on the sky visible under the UV light.

Catalogue Note
L'un des meilleurs peintres orientalistes italiens, Alberto Pasini a beaucoup voyagé en Orient. Il participa tout d'abord à une mission diplomatique française en Perse, entre 1855 et 1857. Les paysages superbes et accidentés qu'il traversa lui fournirent le sujet de nombreuses compositions puissantes et contrastées. En 1860 Pasini voyagea en Egypte, et séjourna à Constantinople de 1867 à 1869. Après la guerre de 1870, il rentra en Italie et se fixa près de Turin, mais il continua à voyager, notamment en Asie Mineure.
