Condition
"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
The oak panel has an old repair to the horizontal crack. This crack is unstable.
The paint surface is in a good condition. There is some discoloured restoration along the crack and some minor retouchings to paint losses in the background
and to the still life. The varnish is discoloured and removing it would improve the overall tonality. Apart from the minor paint losses the painting is in good condition."
