Condition

Relined. painting is presentable in its present state. overall, the paint surface is very well preserved with lovely retention of detail and only some slight thinnesses in some areas of landscape. there are some scuffs along lower edge due to rubbing of the frame. under ultraviolet: there is an old repaired tear in the foliage at the right side and a couple of other areas of retouching in foliage at far left. a few other scattered retouches here and there including along part of what appears to be a canvas seam running through lower portion of landscape. overall, for a work of this size, the painting is in very good state. In a carved and gilt wood frame with numberous nicks and losses to gilding.
