Provenance
Mr. and Mrs. Rothfelder, given to them by Annemie and Alfred Beron on the occasion of their marriage, Munich, 1948 (from a label affixed to the reverse).
Condition
Canvas has been laid down on wood. The paint surface has been well retained overall with just a few minor abrasions at edges and an area of craquelure with a small loss at right side of hair. Under ultraviolet light: there does not apear to be any significant retouching.
