Condition
The catalogue illustration is representative if a little too red. The canvas has been relined and is offered in a wood and plaster frame with several losses. Some frame abrasion is present but the paint surface otherwise appears secure with only minor scattered paint losses, and in a more concentrated manner lower right. Inspection under UV light reveals minor scattered retouchings but the thick varnish impedes satisfactory analysis.
