The catalogue illustration is representative of the painting. The canvas has an old relining, which still holds well, and it is mounted in a wood guilt XVIII Century style frame with some chips especially on the lower and left margins. To the naked eye no damages at all can be seen and the painting retains its rich impasto. Slightly retouchings can be seen in correspondence of the stretcher marks along the upper, lower and left margins. The thick varnish layer impedes clear inspection under ultra-violet light, but the afore-mentioned retouchings are visible however. No other considerable element can be pointed out and it is our opinion that the painting is in very good condition.
