Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is somewhat abraded in areas, there is fine cracquelure throughout and the varnish is a little dirty. There are scattered and, in some cases, slightly discoloured retouchings and restored damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveals further, more recent, retouching, particularly in the darker areas.
Offered in a carved gold painted wood frame in fair condition with some inactive worm holes.
