The catalogue illustrations are representative of the paintings, which are only slightly less red in tones especially in the sky. The canvasses have been relined and are offered in wood guilt XIX Century frames. To the naked eye some restoration can be seen in both the paintings. In the painting depicting the Piazzetta - which is a little bit abraded in the dark areas of the architectures, as the catalogue illustration suggest as well - they are located especially in the sky and along the lower and left margin, in the second painting mainly in the sky and some in the water. The inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the afore-mentioned restoration.
