Condition

The catalogue illustration is quite representative of the painting. The panel is made up of five vertical planks and retains its original thickness (2.5 cm.). The frame looks later, for sure the top and the base. To the naked eye from the left two longitudinal cracks (the second one very deep and running top to bottom) can be seen, together with a loss of paint on the fourth panel behind the woman in red, all visible from the catalogue illustration as well. Restoration scattered can be found on all the five panels. The old varnish layer impedes clear inspection under ultra-violet light.
