Provenance
Anonymous sale, London, Christie's, 1 August 1980, lot 172, (as 'Wyck').
Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is generally secure if a little abraded in places. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouchings and a restored horizontal tear of approx 15 cm lower right and a restored hole lower right. There are further restored damages upper right and lower left. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame which has suffered some knocks.
