- A classical relief with figures adoring the shrine of Minerva
- oil on canvas, unlined
Provenance
Mrs C.M. Bird (according to a label on the reverse).
Condition
The canvas is unlined. There are seven restored damages which have been patched to the reverse. The paint surface is secure and under a dirty varnish with a small area of paint loss upper centre and other scattered minor damages. There are scattered retouchings visible to the naked eye. The most recent retouchings flouresce under UV light. Offered in a plain wooden frame with some chips.
