Sale, Family of the Honorable ... Preston, as Meindert Hobbema (according to an old label on the reverse).
Condition
The support consists of three horizontal panels glued together. These are uncradled. The upper panel join is visible on the painted surface. The paint surface is secure and under a dirty varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals some retouchings along the panel joins and in the sky and further scattered strengthenings and retouchings. Offered in a carved gilt wood frame which is structurally sound with some minor knocks.
