"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The original canvas is lined and the paint layer is stable but slightly raised. There is a small restored damage upper left and under ultra violet light can be seen a scattering of minor restorations across the paint surface denoting pin-prick losses. The impasto is well preserved and the overall condition is good. The varnish is slightly discoloured and the tonality would improve with its removal. Offered in a gilt wood frame in good condition."
