Condition
"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
The support is oak, there is a possibility that it has been transferred. There are raised horizontal ridges through the image and visible discoloured restorations to counter pronounced horizontal wood grain, some of this is excessive. The sketchy quality is retained, however, and removal of the degraded varnish would improve the image.
Offered in an ebonised frame in good condition."
