"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The canvas is lined and the paint layer is stable. There is a central vertical seam along which there is minor restoration. Restoration is visible to the cloud, centre left, and to a small area low down in the centre. Apart from some minor restorations elsewhere the painting is in a good untouched condition with well preserved paint and removing the discoloured varnish would improve the tonality. Offered in a carved gilt wood frame, in good condition."
