Respectable overall condition. The canvas has been relined. Under ultraviolet light: There are several restorations in the background around and above the face of the man. The upper part of the hair has been retouched. The right eye has been underlined and we note a retouche under the nose, mouth and chin of the sitter. There are small retouches in the white collar, hand and in the background on the right. The coat has been restored close to the shoulder and in the lower part.
